Covid 19 - Help and Support

TLC Care Services LLP is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our clients and employees. To this end, we are taking active steps in order to assist in tackling and stopping the spread of Covid-19, We strongly encourage all employees to follow guidelines from the government and World Health Organisation on infection control, both whilst at work and in their daily lives. This includes:

  • Frequent washing of hands and use of alcohol-based gel after every task
  • when coughing and sneezing, covering mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue, throwing this tissue away immediately and washing their hands
  • Maintain social distancing

Also our carers

  • Have continuous supply of PPE (Gloves, Aprons, Shields, Shoe Protectors, Gel, Sleeves etc…) as and when they need it
  • PPE to our carers every week.
  • Employees, who contract the virus, will take and follow medical advice in the length of their sickness absence.
  • Carers with symptoms will go through a period of self-isolation as per government guidelines.
  • Carers who have travelled abroad will quarantine for 10 days before they return to work as per government guidelines
  • We will be undertaking COVID tests on employees every week to maintain the safety of all clients, their families and other staff.
  • Staff have now began taking the Covid -19 vaccine as per choice


COVID-19:Information Governance and Information Sharing Guidance

TLC Care Services LLP realises that it is essential that during the COVID-19 outbreak we are able to communicate with carers, social care professionals, clinicians are able to talk to each other and to the people we care for. We remain mindful regarding the handling people’s information securely, but we need to make sure that we are using the communication available (phone, email etc) to clearly and quickly communicate with local GPs, hospitals, community health services, local authorities, voluntary sector, pharmacists, and health services.

Under the Health and Social Care (Safety and Quality) Act 2015, it is legal to share information to support a person’s care. For COVID-19, carers, local authorities and social care providers, including domiciliary organisations, should be sharing information with the people they care for and their local GPs, community health services, hospitals, local authorities, voluntary sector, pharmacists, and health services.

We will take discernment to do the best thing for our service users and people in our care. The Information Commissioner has said that she cannot envisage taking action against a health or care professional clearly trying to act to save lives. The important thing, as always, is we will always consider what type of information we are sharing and with whom and As much as possible limit the use of people’s personal/confidential information.
